Greetings, beautiful souls!
I’m jumping on here toward the end of the two-week eclipse window occurring between August 12 and August 27. It dawned on me that this upcoming lunar eclipse is the last one happening in Pisces for a long time.
The Moon’s Nodes have been in Pisces for nearly two years, and this final Full Moon on Thursday, August 27, marks the culmination of the North Node’s transit through Pisces that began in September 2024.
It felt meaningful to pull cards for the collective to gain a general understanding of how this Pisces North Node cycle has affected us and what we are moving toward as it comes to completion.
This feels especially powerful because Pisces is the twelfth and final sign of the zodiac. It represents endings, completion, surrender, spiritual integration, and the closing of major cycles.
Significantly, we also had Saturn transiting Pisces during much of this same period, which deepened these lessons even further – bringing themes of karmic release, responsibility, maturity, and ultimately, an invitation to level up.
For those who experienced their Saturn Return around ages 27–30, 54–57, or 82–85, this period may have felt especially potent, as Saturn and the Pisces North Node were working together to bring profound lessons and endings to the surface. We truly are not the same person we were in 2024!
The Collective Reading
I decided to do a reading to see how this eclipse is affecting us collectively.
Overall, this has been a journey through the heart and karmic release.
The cards indicate a transition – or perhaps an initiation – from a more adolescent, naïve emotional way of being into something much more mature. It feels as though we have undergone hardships and deeper emotional work in order to truly come out on the other side as fully grown adults emotionally and spiritually.
Five tarot cards and one oracle card was pulled for this spread.
Knight of Cups, reversed: This card represents where we stood emotionally at the very start of the journey, back in September 2024, with the first lunar eclipse in Pisces. The reversal points to a wobble, a nudge: what emotional issues have you been superficially avoiding these past years? The Knight’s task is to ride out and learn the ways of the heart, maturing into the Queen or King of Cups by journey’s end.
Four of Cups: This card speaks to the second lunar eclipse, in 2025. It shows a resting point, a fulcrum after a long stretch of hard work and heartbreak. That pause let us turn inward and ask what truly matters. This is a pause and a quiet, in-between space where outward progress seemed to stall, but deep subconscious work was happening underneath.
The Hanged Man (XII): Sitting just beneath the Four of Cups, this card marks a major shift last September. Life appeared to turn upside down, whether we asked for it or not. It offered a chance to see the situation from an entirely new vantage point. It may have felt slow and uncertain, but that stillness was necessary to arrive here, at this final eclipse.
Nine of Cups: Pulled as the message of this final eclipse itself, and it’s a beautiful one: permission to celebrate and savor the small good things in life. In numerology, nine represents completion – it carries the wisdom and mastery of the suit of Cups, the realm of emotion, relationships, and divine connection. We couldn’t have arrived at this card without the two years of work that came before it. The Nine of Cups feels like a beautiful exhale after a long journey.

The Nine of Cups is also known as the “wish card,” said to bring a wish to fulfillment. So be sure to cast one this Thursday!
Ten of Swords: Positioned above the rest, this card reinforces that the whole journey has been a karmic one: a release of very old and deep wounds, betrayals, or even illness, that had run their course.
A cohesive story unfolded.
We went into this cycle carrying emotional patterns that needed to be addressed.
We were asked to go inward.
We were asked to surrender.
We were asked to see things differently.
And now, we can finally release, celebrate and integrate these lessons anew!
Together, the suits map neatly onto the astrology at play: Pisces and Saturn show up through the Knight and Nine of Cups and the Ten of Swords, while The Hanged Man carries the energy of Neptune, ruler of Pisces.
Oracle Message, Aries New Moon: The final card pulled for the reading is Aries New Moon. What better message could come after the completion of this long Pisces eclipse cycle?
A new beginning. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, while Pisces is the last. So there is something beautifully symbolic about moving from the final sign of the zodiac into the energy of the first. We are completing one cycle so that another can begin. The Aries New Moon will occur next spring, so this card also suggests that the energy we are stepping into now will continue to develop and gain momentum over the coming months. The seeds are being planted now. The momentum will begin waxing over the six months following this eclipse.
