Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse Nov 8, 2022

Greetings readers! I realized I haven’t posted anything since April, which coincidentally was about the new moon lunar eclipse in the sign of Taurus, six months ago. I feel quite compelled to write about this full moon in Taurus today because it has some very positive messages that we can all stand to embrace at this time.

This full moon coincides with the US midterm elections today, which could bring about political divides and setbacks that we’ve been witnessing. Many voters will be assessing candidates based on economics, as soaring inflation continues to impact gas prices, grocery bills, and the housing market. The post-COVID-19 economic state is challenging our sense of security as we continue to observe the unstable stock market turbulence, peak and plummet. Also, women’s rights over their bodies have been challenged since the Supreme Court stripped away the constitutional right to an abortion, that had been protected for five decades. All said, this total lunar eclipse in the sign of Taurus brings about a much needed tempering to these drastic changes, which quite honestly, has felt like the rug being pulled out from under us.

The full moon in Taurus is a grounding and ideal placement for the moon. Full moons are opposite the sun, in this case, the sun is in Scorpio, ruler of spiritual transformation and inquiry to our deepest mysteries. The full moon in Taurus helps to balance out any uncontrollable emotions and quell the inner storm that may be felt at this time, and it brings a sense of inner peace and practical action to help transform deep feelings and personal drive. This moon, however, is more potent and auspicious because it is a total lunar eclipse. It marks the end of a six month lunar eclipse cycle on the Taurus-Scorpio axis, and a total lunar eclipse won’t happen again for another three years.
