Given the current state of COVID-19 and its variants, I want to share some protocols that I’ve used to support anyone in need. As we’re witnessing, the virus is spreading and many are being infected, regardless of vaccine status. There isn’t much information on how to support or treat yourself, if one gets the virus, besides the century-old advice to rest and drink water. There are ways to prevent severe illness and treat viruses, that can aid in faster recovery and avoid severe symptoms that may lead to hospitalization.
Some background regarding my health, I’ve been actively treating and searching (for more than twenty years) ways to heal autoimmunity from Hypothyroidism Hashimotos, Lyme disease, and various chronic viruses that have resulted in chronic fatigue syndrome, leaky gut, food sensitivities, malaise, and more. I contracted Lyme disease early in childhood, but it wasn’t diagnosed and treated until my late 20’s when I found a Field Control Therapy (FCT) practitioner who discovered the Lyme disease and treated it. Field Control Therapy saved my life! in addition to alternative medicine, diet, reiki, and shamanic healing. When Lyme diseases was discovered in my body (2008), I was experiencing symptoms that resembled early stages of multiple sclerosis (MS), such as numbness and tingling in my hands, muscle weakness, loss of motor skill function, chronic illness and fatigue. Needless to say, I was relieved to have found a supportive FCT practitioner who could help me through alternative treatments, and ultimately restore my health.
Fast-forward to today, I contracted COVID-19 in April 2021. Since I have underlying autoimmune issues and chronic illnesses that I’ve been treating for several years, I was very proactive about supporting my system with nutrients and supplements, which were ramped up when I was sick with COVID-19. I fully recovered from COVID-19 without any “long hauler” symptoms, and I did not have symptoms so severe, that would have landed me in the hospital. I now feel that my immune system is stronger after having COVID-19, in addition to supporting my body through alternative approaches and diet.
COVID-19 Protocol – when I tested positive with symptoms, I started these supplements immediately and for the duration of my symptoms.
- Vit D3 5,000 iu and K2-M7
- Vit C 4,000 to 8,000mg daily
- B Vitamins (Seeking Health B minus and B12 adenosylcobalamin)
- Zinc 16 to 24mg daily
- NAC 600mg capsule 2 to 3 daily
- Quercetin 800mg capsule 1 to 2 daily
- Just Thrive spore based probiotic capsule 1 to 2 daily
- Electrolytes!, like coconut water, Emergen-C, fresh juices, electrolyte powders, or Sole water (sea salt water)
- Water
- Sleep
- Sea Salt Baths
- *I also did the D Hammer upon first day of positive test and symptoms – 50,000 iu day 1, 10,000 iu days 2-7, 5,000 iu onward.
*In general, Kids take ¼- ½ dose depending on their age and size. (¼ for ages 2-5 and ½ for ages 6-10)
